Hello everyone
The Junior HNY is now safely back at Lake Keepit, though not rigged yet. Before we can rig it and put it away, we will have to move the wings of the old Puchatek out of the way. I am not quite sure where we can put them.
Tom Gilbert said that both the Junior and the Jantar had bad scratches on the fuselage, right down the the glass. He wondered if it was winch wire that caused it. I suspect it would have been due to hangar rash where the wing of one glider is positioned over the fuselage of another. Lets all make an effort not to let this happen again. I think perhaps a cheap foam bedding roll over the fuselage may prevent scratches - I will get a couple next time I am in town. But it will only work if everyone remembers to use it!
Phil Anderton is coming out tomorrow to help me to finish my tow rating. If this is successful, I will be able to tow for the Thursday group on (you guessed it) Thursday.
Todd Clark, a former member is coming out to fly with Geoff Sim on Wednesday. He has purchased Garry's LS4 from Tocumwal, and may well be joining us again.
I have had an enquiry for five trial flights one day this week, exact day and time yet to be notified. If this happens, it would be preferable to have another instructor and tug pilot available. The days are a bit short to do five flights in one glider at the moment.
Bye for now
Jenny
